We were overjoyed last night to scoop the Best Tourism Attraction and Activity Award at the Louth Business Awards organised by Dundalk Chamber in the Carrickdale Hotel. It was a fantastic night and a wonderfully organised event. 2022 was an unusual year for us as our futuristic dystopian project Louth Culture Quest married art and tourism like we have never done before. The County-wide futuristic art and heritage treasure hunt saw us place 20 pieces of newly commissioned art at 20 heritage sites around the County, encouraging visitors to explore the entire county.
With our two theatres, a Gallery, Workshop Spaces and Artist Studios, we pride ourselves on being an access point to the arts for the people of North Louth, but we are also delighted to receive this recognition as it is also so important to us to promote Irish arts to visitors to Dundalk and the greater North Louth Area. We’d like to thank all of our staff who give their best everyday and without whom we couldn’t have won this award, our funders and supporters, The Arts Council of Ireland and Louth County Council and of course Dundalk Chamber of Commerce!
We were also thrilled to congratulate The Townhouse Bar & Restaurant, our official food partner who also scooped Best Dining on the night!
